I’ve had this blender for a bit of time and I’ve determined that I really dislike it. The base is difficult to unscrew for cleaning. I ended breaking the assembly just so I could get it apart to clean. As far as functioning as a blender, it did a really poor job of making a strawberry smoothie. I ended up adding so much liquid to the frozen strawberries that it was more strawberry juice than a smoothie. It is a total waste of time and I am looking for a replacement.

This is a typical Oster quality product! I could not be happier with it. The fact that the gearing and coupling from the motor to the blades is all metal clearly makes it a very sturdy machine. Much better than the plastic piece of junk I had previously. I have to admit, I use it more for milkshakes than anything but it does a great job and does it fast. I’m very happy with my purchase.

Great blender! I can’t believe how fast it perfectly and smoothly blended ice for my margarita in less than 5 sec. I got this to replace my older blender that took forever to blend ice and also had a warped lid from the dishwasher. I agree with other reviewers that the plastic parts seem a little cheap, esp the collar at the base of the glass container. I don’t think this will be a problem and i plan to hand wash only; the lid seems to be designed better though but don’t want to risk damaging it in the dishwasher. Highly recommend this blender!
